I’ve always wanted a Lowrider ever since the night I swapped my Brandywine EVO VII with my main Ese Carlos. Hittin’ the switches and doing 3-wheel motion through The Street of Woodfield (and having the Cops called) was a riot.
My homeboy El Mago had built this 1985 Monte Carlo and enjoyed it for a few years but was looking for a 1964 Impala. I often contacted him to see if he want to sell the car. I loved the classy look of a black car with a simple mural and the burgundy interior. Finally one day I got the urgent call that he needed to sell the Monte quickly so he could secure his dream Impala that had become available.
Again, the plan for this car was to be secretly get it, fix it up and surprise the AMS employees at another company lunch meeting. With the help of my friend Shane Smith we got the car and sorted out the issues with it for our “unveiling” of the car. We dressed up as 80’s era gangsters and proceeded to make a grand entrance on 3 wheels.
I kept the car over the summer and it was a hit for all the guys to borrow it for lunch and cruise the streets of St. Charles with it. This car was definitely the most fun I’ve had on 3 wheels.
